Cambridge IGCSE

The Cambridge IGCSE curriculum, offered by the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), for grades 9-10 encourages learner-centred and enquiry-based approaches to learning, developing proficiency and skills is the following key areas:

Subjects offered

All students are required to take the five compulsory subjects along with one elective of their choice.

What is Coordinated Humanities?

Our vision is to offer a versatile curriculum that meets students at their current stage of development, enabling them to build perspectives from diverse standpoints, and to nurture their curiosity and interest in the world, and how it functions. This interdisciplinary program, designed in collaboration with a variety of our esteemed mentors and partners, integrates Literature, History, Geography, Civics, and Global Issues & Perspectives. It approaches learning through diverse methods, fostering critical thinking, research, and collaboration. Students explore historical and contemporary issues, enabling them to connect their studies to real-life contexts, while enhancing their ability to navigate the world as global citizens.


How are the two years structured?

Grade 9 serves as a foundation where a significant portion of the IGCSE syllabus is taught.

In Grade 10, by the end of Term 1, about 90% of the total syllabus content is covered.

Before their final Grade 10 board exams in February, they will write:

  • A term-end exam in October with (90% of the syllabus content)

  • First mock exam in December (with 100% of the syllabus content)

  • Second Mock exam in January (exactly modelled on the board exam)

Cambridge IAL

The IALs (International Advanced Levels) are international school-leaving qualifications for Grades 11 and 12, with most students studying three to five A Level subjects over two years. The programme offers robust curricula and assessments, strong international positioning, and access to a wide range of global resources and learning aids that support students through the course.

IAL qualifications are widely recognised by universities in India and around the world. In India, the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) formally recognises both the IGCSE and IAL programmes, ensuring that students are eligible to pursue higher education in India as well as internationally.

Subjects offered:

In Grade 11, students are required to choose either English Literature or Global Perspectives and Research
as a one-year exposure and enrichment course, with no formal examinations.

For their IALs, students are encouraged to choose three subjects that best align with their interests, strengths, and future aspirations.

National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is a national board of education established by the Government of India. It offers flexible secondary and senior secondary (10th & 12th), vocational and specialised courses designed to support diverse learning pathways.

NIOS is recognised by the Government of India and accepted by universities across the country. Students completing the NIOS Senior Secondary programme are eligible to pursue higher education in India and abroad.
